|
|
| |
Its been 2 weeks now since the RNC, and I challenged people to come up with Obama achievments. I noticed nobody was doing that, but they were bashing Palin with sexism everyday.
A funny thing happened on the way to being more worried about stopping Palins popularity, and showing her "inexperience".
NOBODY HAS POSTED A SINGLE SOLITARY WORD WHATSOEVER, SINCE THE DNC, ABOUT JOE BIDENS ACHIEVMENTS.
I would think for every tidbit of sexism, they would come up with at least one good thing to say about Biden. Something to compare Joe to her, but they are comparing Sarah to Obama, not McCain, leaving Biden a non issue. Basically Joe is just there everyday, like a lamp or fixture, representing a state thats really has no special situations or special problems. Joes experience representing Delaware is like owning an old VW. All you have to do is check the oil, put gas in it a drive it. It just keeps running with no Problems. Alaska compares to a tempermental race car, where everyday something new comes up, it takes a lot of special care, and a lot of maintinance to drive it all day, usually in diverse conditions in the fast lane. |

Poll: McCain, Obama in dead heat; Biden more qualified than Palin
http://www.kansascity.com/445/story/792858.html
| Quote: |
| John McCain and Barack Obama head into the fall campaign neck and neck, despite questions in many voters' minds about whether McCain's running mate is as qualified as Obama's, according to a new Ipsos/McClatchy poll. |
| Quote: |
The poll finds that registered voters continue to wonder whether Palin, a first-term Alaska governor, is as qualified to step up to the job of president as her Democratic counterpart, Joseph Biden, who's been in the Senate for more than three decades.
A majority of voters, 60 percent, think that Biden is qualified to be president, while 31 percent think he is not.
By comparison, 48 percent of voters think Palin is qualified, while 44 percent think she is not.
"While Palin has electrified the base, her overall appeal is less than Biden's," Young said.

“Biden trained as a lawyer and became a senator in 1973 at the Constitutional minimum age of 30, making him the fifth-youngest senator in U.S. history. He is a long-time member and current chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and has worked on resolutions concerning the Yugoslav wars and Iraq War. He has served as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, dealing with issues related to drug policy, crime prevention, and civil liberties, and led creation of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act and Violence Against Women Act.”

Biden serves on the following committees in the 110th U.S. Congress:
Committee on Foreign Relations (chairman)
As chairman of the full committee Biden is an ex officio member of each subcommittee.
Committee on the Judiciary.
Subcommittee on Antitrust Competition Policy and Consumer Rights..
Subcommittee on Crime and Drugs (chairman)
Subcommittee on Human Rights and the Law.
Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Refugees.
Subcommittee on Technology Terrorism and Homeland Security.
Caucus on International Narcotics Control (co-chairman)
Biden is a long-time member of the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
He dealt with issues related to:
drug policy
crime prevention
civil liberties
Biden has been involved in crafting many federal crime laws over the last decade:
Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994.
Violence Against Women Act of 1994.
Chairman of the International Narcotics Control Caucus wrote the laws that created the U.S. "Drug Czar"
Reducing Americans' Vulnerability to Ecstasy Act RAVE Act.
2004 he worked to pass a bill outlawing steroids like androstenedione
"Kids 2000" legislation
Biden is also a long-time member and current chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. His efforts to combat hostilities in the Balkans in the 1990s brought national attention and influenced presidential policy.
Biden has twice run for the Democratic nomination for President
1970 County Councilman General 10,573 55%
1972 U.S. Senator General 116,006 50%
1978 U.S. Senator General 93,930 58%
1984 U.S. Senator General 147,831 60%
1990 U.S. Senator General 112,918 63%
1996 U.S. Senator General 165,465 60%
2002 U.S. Senator General 135,253 58%
Palin: Beauty pageant contestant, Journalism graduate from Idaho University, sportscaster, town council member, Husband works for BP, mayor (town of 9,000 people) commercial fisherman, governor for 20 months, mom.
It’s a little condescending to assume that Palin needs to be treated like grandma's porcelain because she's a woman, the fuss about Hillary's tearing up in NH is a perfect example of the “republican rules” and flip-flopping what’s strictly enforced in this election. If Palin is such a delicate flower, how is she tough enough to be the President? |

How many dumb azz things has she said compared to BO O'Biden?
Hey you in the wheelchair STAND-UP!!!
I'm joe O'Biden, I'm not qualified.
When is Mainstream [codeword for leftist] Media going to as BO all the question asked Palin? Never.
What about BO's terrorist ties? His loathing for helping his family? His inability to speak off prompter? Bush get's derided daily for that.
Yep a lot of BO from the left and their cohorts in Mainstream [codeword for leftist] Media.
Plus O'Biden has been wrong about EVERY ONE of his foreign policy positions. By his I mean his. |
