This has been very interresting watching and responding this last week. GOTO the menu of this forum and look from the top down. Now remember that last weeksn events of the 2 conventions. You see about a dozen post that are all anti Palin or McCain, either bashing them for age, character, gender and all kinds of sexist garbage.

WHATS MISSING IN THE MENU EVERYONE?

NOT ONE PERSON HAS CREATED A POST, TALKING ABOUT THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF OBAMA. OBAMA'S SPEECH WAS 9 DAYS AGO, AND NOTHING WAS POSTED ABOUT HIS ABILITY.

ALL THE POSTS HAVE BEEN ABOUT TEARING DOWN SOMEONE SO UNQUALIFIED, NOBODY CAN THINK OF A SINGLE THING THAT QUALIFIES OBAMA. tHEY STARTED THE DAY AFTER PALINS SPEECH.

i did a quick search the other week to see what obama has done and i found very little. I might do another search later.

I watch a biography of McCain today and seems he has had his fair share of ups and downs but when it come down to the crunch he is a better pick between the 2, Before looking into McCain i just thought he was a smurf with nothing better to do lol!!!!

Its kinda obvious Greeney,

The reason, hypocrosy!

They have no past to go by with Obama. He has done nothing for this country. He has worked in the Senate for 143 days out of three years. The rest of the time he has been running for President.

That is why Palin is way more expierienced than Obama. He has no business running for Presdient. There is absolutley no substance behind him. Picking Biden will be his biggest undoing. That allowed McCain to top him with the change montra.

All these guys on here crying change for so long, can't even tell you how Obama was going to change anything. McCain ,and Palin have worked for reform, and change in congress. This is the true change tickect ,and Obama blew it big time.

Now with Oprah refusing to allow Palin on for an interview will show just how much of a Liberal shill she actually is. She said she doesn't want to have candidates on. Well why have Obama on four times, and no one else ? seems kinda obvious to me. She picked the loser in this race ,and won't admit it.

McCain ,and Palin are real change people can see that. It's gonna be a great November.

BloodStone...

In September 2007, he blamed special interests for distorting the U.S. tax code.[127] His plan would eliminate taxes for senior citizens with incomes of less than $50,000 a year, repeal income tax cuts for those making over $250,000 as well as the capital gains and dividends tax cut,[128] close corporate tax loopholes, lift the income cap on Social Security taxes, restrict offshore tax havens, and simplify filing of income tax returns by pre-filling wage and bank information already collected by the IRS."

Senate Accomplishments:

Since entering the U.S. Senate in January 2005, Senator Obama has written approximately 890 bills and co-sponsored an additional 1096.

Senators Obama and McCain have been running to be the nominee for President for their parties since January 2007. Therefore the 890 bills written by Senator Obama and the 1096 he co-sponsored all occurred in a 2-year span. That shows that he is a prolific and tireless Senator.

Because of the long-drawn-out nature of passing laws in the Senate many of his bills are still in committee and some were vetoed by republicans. Senator Obama has an impressive record by anyone’s standard.

For someone who supposedly has no record (according to his competitors) his record of accomplishments are extraordinarily impressive and inspiring.

· Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act. (This is the first federal legislation to be enacted with Obama as its primary sponsor)
Became law

· Secure Fence Act. Authorized construction of fencing and other security improvements along the United States–Mexico border
Became law

· The Lugar–Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act. The Bill expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons, including shoulder-fired missiles and anti-personnel mines
Became Law

· The “Coburn–Obama Transparency Act” eliminated gifts of travel on corporate jets by lobbyists to members of Congress and the establishment of USAspending.gov, a web search engine launched in December 2007 and run by the Office of Management and Budget to require lobbyists to disclose the candidates, leadership PACS or political parties for whom they collect or arrange contribution and the combined amount of the contributions
Became law

· Amendment to the State Children’s Health Insurance Program providing one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries
Passed in Senate

· Energy Policy Act of 2005 to add $200 million for Function 270 (Energy) for the demonstration and monitoring of carbon capture and sequestration technology by the Department of Energy
Passed in Senate

· The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (after amendments became the Secure Fence Act which became law)
Passed in Senate

· Education Bill. Require that the Director of Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education to establish a program to recruit and provide mentors for women and underrepresented minorities who are interested in careers in mathematics, science and engineering.
Passed in Senate

· Summer Term Education Program. Supports summer learning opportunities for low-income students in the early grades to lessen summer learning losses that contribute to the achievement gaps separating low-income students from their middle-class peers
Passed in Senate

· Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007 a bill to cap troop levels in Iraq, begin phased redeployment, and remove all combat brigades from Iraq before April 2008.
Republicans voted against

· Iran Sanctions Enabling Act supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran’s oil and gas industry
Republicans voted against

· Sponsored an amendment to the Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges, and calling for an official review following reports that the procedure had been used inappropriately to reduce government costs
Republicans voted against

Senator Obama sponsored approximately 820 bills in the Senate, since they are too numerous to list, I have categorized them:

· 233 regarding healthcare reform

· 125 on poverty and public assistance

· 112 crime fighting bills

· 97 economic bills

· 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills

· 21 ethics reform bills

· 15 gun control bills

· 6 veterans affairs bills

Well it’s just so completely obvious to those of us in the middle class (who happen to have a brain), that Republicans continue to vote against their own self-interest. That’s why it’s come down to having to make jokes about it. If we didn’t laugh we’d cry.

I blame YOU for voting the most sorry excuse for a president in modern history into office, TWICE! I blame YOU for every American soldier’s death in Iraq, a war that never would have been started except YOU voted an idiot into power.

YOU Republicans have no credibility. And here it goes again. Rich, elite McCain cannot represent the middle class, he’s so out of touch it’s scandalous. So he brings in a big-mouthed soccer mom, a heart-beat away from leading the free world, insults every woman with a brain, and Republicans swallow it hook, line and sinker. If you think the rest of us are going to let you idiot Republicans screw this country over AGAIN, you’ve got rude awakening in store.

Just step the hell out of the way and let responsible, clear thinking, and PATRIOTIC middle class Americans make this decision for you. You’ve proven for the past EIGHT, PAINFUL years you haven’t got clue.

Ok, lets get some things straight. (1) i am not american (2) if i was i would be a democrat voter

Now as for Obama, all you have told me is that he has written or co sponsered some bills, which some have been veto'd, so suddenly that makes him able to run your country?? get a grip!!

I would love nothing more for the democrats to get back into the white house. BUT if the person the democrats have (stupidly) picked as the nominee is under qualified then they deserve to lose. I WANT more than anything for Obama to come out and prove his worth to america but as of right now, if he was to go up against McCain in the debates McCain would eat him alive.

So as an outsider, tell me something that he has done for the state of Illinois. See thats gonna stand up more in the american publics eyes than a paper, pushing desk jockey, who writes bills.

and lets not forget that Obama is far from poor, when asked what he though middle class was he said a family that earnt 250k or under ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! If myself and my partner earnt that much i would definetly consider myself rich at least comfortable.

I think that if you look a little more into McCain you will see he is not bush, sure he has some conservative veiws but he has the expirence both in life and as a politican to run the country, it's that simple.

As for the pick of Palin as his running mate, she has the expirence to but more than anything was the one of the smartest moves i have ever seen a candidate make.

You have to remember just one thing McCain is not Bush

Everyone should be doing there homework and selecting the best candidate for office, not voting a straight party line. We all know who McCain is and his voting record. McCain Flip Flop much? McCain change his message every time his target audience changes?

Click the link below and read an excellent article on Obama.

What Makes Obama Run?

Lawyer, teacher, philanthropist, and author Barack Obama doesn't need another career. But he's entering politics to get back to his true passion--community organization.

By Hank De Zutter
December 8, 1995

http://www.chicagoreader.com/obama/951208/

Obama speaks a language of commitment, responsibility, caring and accountability.

And then there is McShrub:

McCain voted with President Bush 95 percent of the time in 2007.
McCain is promising to take the Bush tax cuts to reckless new extremes.
McCain’s Own Tax Cuts Would Double Cost of Extending Bush Tax Cut.
McCain is willing to keep our troops in Iraq for 100 years, Long Term American Presence In Iraq Analogous To South Korea.
MCCAIN WAS SILENT WHILE WAR WAS FAILING
McCain Was Late To Criticize War.
McCain “No One Has Supported President Bush on Iraq More Than I Have.”
McCain Failed To Stand Up When It Counted.
McCain Changes his message every time his target audience changes.
McCain I’m a Great Admirer of Secretary Rumsfeld. (On a 2003 appearance on MSNBC’s “Buchanan & Press,” )

McCain No, Rumsfeld Shouldn’t Leave Post; “Things Go Bad in Wars” and We Adjust.

SEE NO EVIL: MCCAIN DIDN’T LOOK FOR CORRUPTION IN CONGRESS AND DIDN’T FIND ANY.
MCCAIN PUTS TAX CUTS AHEAD OF RENEWABLE ENERGY AND JOBS

flip flop , flip flop , flip flop…He must have went to school with John Kerry.

I’m sure Barack will have McShrub’s past statements like this ready and waiting in the wings at the first debate. My guess is that McShrub’s will fumble, flummox, and flounder when asked for specifics.

Then again, the corporate media will immediately declare the debate a “tie” while allowing that McShrub’s “perhaps misspoke on a few minor points.”

The talking heads in the media will do their best to "spin" this to no end just like this video shows.

All complete hypocrites.

I think you have the whole flip flopping finger pointed in the wrong direction, when obama was challenged on the off shore drilling issue, he quickly changed to, maybe that would be a good idea. I can't list them all right now but i can tell you this, he has changed his mind on a mumber of issues when challenged

TBH both candidates suck balls, I hate a lot of things McCain stands for and i think Obama is FOS and has hidden agendas, the domcrats have already said his budget won't balance and the senate will reject it.

All i know is that at some stage, most likely in the debates McCain will Make Obama look like a fool and he only has to do it once to make people turn away from him.

Obama scares me for the fact that he comes across as a rich student who has had no real life expirence. What hardships has he faced in his life?? how has he gotten past them??

Because with the way the american ecconomy is atm. he will have a major battle on his hands with just that alone.

and The clintons thought that they had a leak problem. with being the first Black president he will have MAJOR insider problems, everyone will want to cut him down.

Well Bud, you weren't about to post this or anything else until you saw I was right about the forum menu. You were and are among the worst of the sexist comments, now try to recover by coping and pasting something about Obama, which you didn;t do until now.

Sorry Bud, you credibility went south here with your nipple comments and the follow ups there after. And for the record Bud, I say you never read this Obama as long as it took you to reseach for you nipple comments.

This is even more pathetic than I imagined. The only person to come forward in this was XpletiveDeleted, for the obvious reason he was busted for his sexist comments.

Not one other single person has come up with anything or expressed any opionion of Obamas achievments. That isn;t just a theme on this board, its a fact being talked about in every corner. The effort to trash Palins inexpericne only put his own under a mircoscope, which it has been under since the beginning.
